Meet Celi Dean, Miss Black USA 2006!
Celi is our newest Cover
Model for The Beauty Insider Publication
and will be featured on the cover as well as in a guest
column.
Celi (see-lee) Dean is our 2005/2006 Miss Black
USA. She represented Minnesota at the National
pageant in Washington DC, and not only scored
highest in all the area’s of competition, but was
also voted Miss Congeniality by the other
contestants!
Her platform,
“Education-A Degree of Importance” reflects her
commitment to excellence and her pursuit of
knowledge. A senior at the University of
Minnesota, she is majoring in Family Social Science.
One of 10 siblings with Liberian roots, she
understands the importance of family. Having
been impacted by divorce like many of today’s youth
she understands obstacles and the optimism needed to
overcome. It is this optimism packaged in realism
that makes her a role model to her siblings at home
and youth nationwide. With powerful poetry and
a gentle smile, She specializes in motivating others
with her real life, “been there, done that, you’ll
overcome this,” mountain moving faith.
